From 15 to 27 June 2015, former President of the Republic of Slovenia dr. Danilo Türk visited China, where he had a series of lectures and statements at conferences related to the rising role of China in today's world. Special attention was paid to the project of the new Silk Road, which China is setting up as a new development opportunity for large parts of Asia, Europe and Africa.

Former President Türk also participated at the fourth "Global Think Tank Summit", dedicated to global development issues and global governance. Along with other high level guests, President Türk took part in a separate meeting with Mr Li Keqiang the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China.
